Why not just here?

Personally, I don't really want to visit a hyped-up IM service like Twitter for stories that should be here on Tuxradar or Linux Format. Twitter is more like a fad to me that most of us now follow like lemmings, but will not stand the test of time.

Tuxedo: You won't find any stories on Twitter or Identica that aren't on here (those services limit you to 140 characters). Indeed, you won't miss a thing if you visit TuxRadar often.

If you do follow Twitter or Identica, however, you'll know about a story the second it goes up, instead of having to keep refreshing TuxRadar -- that's all it's about. Just think of it as a quick notification system.

Where I come from, Twitter has such a bad name that it has become a term of abuse. As in: "You twitter!".

So: no way in hell that I'll follow Tuxradar on that dreaded twitter!

I'll just go on seeing if there is anything new whenever I'm passing TuxRadar. We don't need TwitRadar for that. Only boring old Twits (farts) use Twitter!
